DC and Warner Bros Premiere have released the first trailer for Superman/ Batman: Apocalypse. It's a little short. And doesn't reveal much story. But it does give us a look at the animation and voice cast of the movie.
I think they've done a great job, again.

Superman/ Batman: Apocalypse - Official Release
Warner Brothers and DC have made the official announcement, including casting, about Superman/ Batman: Apocalypse.
The movie will be based on the comics - Superman/ Batman: Apocalypse written by Jeph Loeb, Michael Turner & Peter Steigerwald and will feature Darkseid as the villain.
As we mentioned yesterday when we talked about Summer Glau coming in, Supergirl will be a main component of the story as Superman and Batman come together to fight Darkseid after he takes control of Supergirl.
The story will begin with a spacecraft crashing into Gotham City Harbor. In the spacecraft is the last Kryptonian, Kara.
As with all of the DC Universe Animated originals, this will be a PG-13 movie so we should expect some pretty good action and some suggestive comedy as well.
As far as casting is concerned, we've been pretty right on with all of our guesses and predictions.
Tim Daly will be voicing Superman, Kevin Conroy will be voicing Batman and Summer Glau will be voicing Supergirl.
Also in the cast are Andre Braugher as Darkseid and Ed Asner as Granny Goodness.

Superman/ Batman: Apocalypse
The official announcement has been made that Superman/ Batman: Apocalypse will be the next full length animated feature after Batman: Under the Red Hood.
And with that announcement has come the rumor that Summer Glau (Firefly, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) will voice the character of Supergirl who will be central to the story.
If this rumor is true it would mean that Nicolle Tom would be out of the running for the role which she voiced in late 90's Superman TV series.
Superman fans all over the place have started commenting on the choice. And it's pretty positive so far.

Superman/Batman: Apocalypse - It's Coming!
Superman/Batman: Apocalypse
DC has made the official announcement that the next full length animated feature after the release of Batman: Under the Red Hood will be a 2nd Superman/Batman flick.
This makes my inner comic book geek very happy.
Superman/Batman: Apocalypse is the follow up to 2009’s Public Enemies.
So far there is a lot of buzz and a lack of information, but that will change as the days go by.
I promise to be all over this because I am excited for the fall of 2010 and the release of this flick.
